Our Charity - LB SIDEKICK Foundation

The oldest of the Lee Brothers, Grand Master HK Lee started teaching Tae Kwon Do in the US in the early 1970s. Since the beginning, he had a vision of giving back to the community and positively impacting the lives of our community residents. His vision ultimately became the principles of his younger brothers when they started teaching at their facilities.

Over the past several decades, Lee Brothers collectively have donated countless hours and funds that would surpass a million-dollar while teaching students the value of service. We have worked with countless charities like Make a Wish Foundation, MDA, Epilepsy Association, American Heart Association, Cancer Society just to name a few.

In 2003, Master JungHo Lee officially filed and was granted 501(c) 3 not-for-profit status by the IRS, and Lee Brothers Side Kick Foundation was formed.

LBSKF seeks to make a difference in our community by putting the education of children at the forefront of our mission. Lee Brothers Side Kick Foundation believes in developing the whole child: physically, mentally, and emotionally. Over the years, we have chosen projects to sponsor with those goals in mind. We are focused on providing and promoting educational opportunities to empower our youth and strengthen our community.

Since its inception, the Lee Brothers Side Kick Foundation has partnered with many great organizations in our community such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, My Sister’s House, Wake County Public School System, Boys & Girls Club, United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, and more. We have granted wishes for deserving children, provided academic scholarships to college-bound students, and funded numerous school projects in our local schools.

We raise funds through the benevolence of our school members and martial arts-related events such as SideKick Adventure Race, Kick-a-Thon, Silent Auction, Movie Night, Championships, etc.

We now closely work with an organization with Social, Economic, and Environmental Sustainability as its core mission. BOLELO.org provides an online platform for the users to BOrrow and LEnd things with LOcal neighbors, to save and generate revenue. It’s good for the environment and good for the community.
